Always a Sibling Illustrations - Client Work for Annie Orenstein
Annie reached out to me in 2023 to create the full branding for her upcoming book, Always a Sibling. This project included a logo, colour palette, fonts, social media templates, and web graphics. The illustrations I created for her centred on themes of grief, loss, and the enduring connection we have with loved ones even after they’re gone. This was a challenging project for me, as my work typically revolves around joyful themes.
Initially, I used a more subdued colour palette and incorporated some religious elements, but after the first revision, Annie requested that I remove those and switch to more vivid colours to reflect the hopeful tone of her message. The final designs struck a balance between honouring grief and celebrating the idea of everlasting connection. Annie was thrilled with the results, and her book enjoyed a successful launch.
