After moving to Sicily, I was captivated by the sight of lemon and orange trees flourishing across the island. The vibrant yellow of lemons quickly became a symbol of happiness and joy for me, inspiring this series of Sicilian lemon illustrations. Created at the beginning of summer, as spring transitioned into a new season, these pieces reflect a sense of fresh ideas and new beginnings. They were also part of a challenge for the Pinterest UK Create Community, where the theme was "fresh beginnings." This collection celebrates the warmth and energy of both the season and my new life in Sicily.
